Where did all the $ go?

I thought I had this budget challenge in the bag, but this week's grocery cart filled up faster than Lil'T's diaper.  T requested snack foods and I panicked.  Snacks are never something I plan.  Also, Lil'T was fussy at the store, so I rushed around unable to carefully select the best deals.  Excuses, excuses.

Trader Joe's - $22 (I can't find the reciept)
Grocery Store - $106.62
Total:   $128.62

Even if I get picky, I'm over.  :-(  Subtract the household items I purchased $7.78 and I'm still $20 over.  You think we can eat on $80 next week?  Sounds like a challenge to me!

My Little Helper

We set aside one cabinet for him to play in.  Not thinking, it was the one right next to the stove.  We baby proofed in summer when the oven was never in use.  Oops!  I feel like we're constantly baby proofing.  Everyday there is something new I never thought he would get into.  Not everyday, but all too often.

I finally wrapped up the V8 challenge!  There is a lot of V8 in that bottle.  Instead of ketchup, I used V8 in the Tempeh-Lentil Sloppies.  T likes them extra sloppy!

Could have been vegan, but we used cheese instead of avocado.

The avocado went in the dessert!  Baked Oatmeal topped with Chocolate Avocado Mousse:
